Pickleball court dimensions

The official numbers the PPA plays on — court lines, net heights, kitchen depth, and the concrete pad you should actually pour.

The official pickleball court is 20 feet wide by 44 feet long — the same for singles and doubles. The net hangs at 36 inches at the sidelines and 34 inches at center, and the non-volley zone ("the kitchen") extends 7 feet from the net on each side. Here's the whole court, to scale:

The pad matters more than the lines

Lines are easy; run-off room is what makes a court playable. Build 30' × 60' if you have the space — that's the footprint used for tournament play, and it's what we spec for club builds. Tighter yards can work at 26' × 50'. Full budget math is in the cost guide, and you can try color combinations on this exact layout in the Court Designer.
